Precise engineering for better performance
The PSB design team exhaustively tests all of its designs at Canada's National Research Council to ensure outstanding, real-world performance. At the center of the W1's cabinet are two 4" woofers flanking a 1" dome tweeter. The long-throw woofers use proprietary clay/ceramic-filled polypropylene cones, which makes them very stiff and light. The result: you hear clear, highly detailed midrange, and bass that's tight and articulate. The W1's 1" titanium dome tweeter is engineered to produce smooth, accurate highs free from harshness and grain. To the outside of the woofers are two passive bass radiators, which give the W1 stronger bass performance than you might expect from a slim, on-wall speaker.
A sturdy, space-saving aluminum enclosure minimizes the speaker's external dimensions while maximizing internal volume for deeper sound. All of the W1's drivers are optimally mounted to a non-resonant MDF baffle for ideal sound dispersion, and concealed behind an acoustically transparent, cloth-covered metal grille for stylish good looks.
